Dr. Amanda Massey

Expert in Performance Chiropractic for Humans and Animals

With a lifelong passion for animals and a strong foundation in elite sports, Dr. Amanda Massey has dedicated her career to the wellness and performance of both human and animal clients. Dr. Massey began her journey at Texas A&M University, where she studied Biomedical Science and Wildlife and Fishery Science. Her time with the Aggie Polo Team brought her first-hand experience with the impact of chiropractic care after a back injury nearly took her out of the sport. With the support of a dedicated chiropractor, she quickly returned to riding and went on to compete in the National Intercollegiate Tournament. This transformative experience inspired her to pursue a career in chiropractic.

Dr. Massey went on to earn her Doctorate in Chiropractic from Parker University in Dallas, where she gained experience working with elite athletes at the Dr. Pepper Stars Center and the Texas Advantage Volleyball Club. Her training includes extensive post-doctoral studies in the Fascial Distortion Model (FDM), a technique that aids in soft tissue injury recovery—a crucial skill for the athletes and performance animals she treats.

Driven by her love for horses and her commitment to animal wellness, Dr. Massey earned certification from the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association (AVCA) in 2016. She specializes in chiropractic care for performance horses, show dogs, and livestock, using her chiropractic skills to optimize performance, prevent injuries, and aid in recovery.

For the past 10 years, Dr. Massey has operated a thriving private practice in Austin, Texas. She is now expanding her practice to North Carolina to be with her husband, stepchildren, and cherished fur babies, combining her professional expertise with a new chapter in her personal life.

In her personal time, Dr. Massey is a dedicated equestrian with training in dressage, jumping, and polo. She’s also an avid swimmer, lake enthusiast, and adventurous traveler, finding joy in diverse cuisines and cultures around the world.
